Tara received a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science and Technology with a concentration in Biotechnology from James Madison University. After graduation she spent six years in the bio-pharmaceutical industry where she tested pharmaceutical grade therapies undergoing approval by the FDA. During this time she noticed that the deterioration of American health was largely being caused by environment, lifestyle, and improper nutrition. She decided to shift her focus from disease treatment to disease prevention with a focus on nutrition. In order to do so, Tara built upon her biotechnology undergrad by completing a certification as a Clinical Nutritionist. This program focused on how to individualize food and supplement health programs for specific needs.

In the field of nutrition there is not too little information but in fact too much. It is Tara’s goal to sift through all of the cutting edge nutritional research and diet trends and provide her clients with up to date nutritional advice in a way that is easy to understand and free from hype. Even with an understanding of nutrition, diet changes are not easy. Tara also provides continued emotional and educational support to help her clients reach their own goals and achieve optimum health!
